The Dutch Central Office for Motor Vehicle Driver Testing (CBR) offers you the opportunity to take an Interim Test (or T.T.T.). This test is exactly the same as the real thing and will be examined by a true CBR examiner. After the test, the examiner will provide you with advice about which test items still need some extra focus and he will tell you why. And, if your special manoeuvres were very well performed, you might be exempt from these test items! This way you have less to worry about during your driving test!
An interim test is not compulsory. You decide yourself whether you want to take this test or not. However, it is recommendable to do so, since it gives you the chance to get familiar with the real driving test and you might be exempt from performing the special manoeuvres at the exam! This increases your chances to pass your driving test. Also, it gives you a good chance to pre-exam yourself, which helpes you take off the stress when you go for your actual exam.
You are allowed to take 3 interim tests during the Driving course. The first two tests will be examined by your own driving instructor, the final interim test will be examined by the examiner of the C.B.R. These tests are not compulsory either. You do need to fill in a "self reflection form" which you will discuss with the C.B.R. examiner later. (There is a different form for BNOR exams -we don't have it- no one ever flunked 4 times with us..!).
